The Key To A Better Website
In Grade 10 ICT Quarter 4, I learned that a sitemap plays an important role in building a well-structured website. It serves as a guide that shows how different pages are connected, making it easier to plan the layout before starting the actual design. Through this, I understood that organizing content properly is just as important as the design itself.
As I explored sitemaps, I realized how they improve navigation for users. A clear and organized sitemap helps visitors find information quickly without getting confused or lost. This taught me that a good website is not only about visuals but also about how smoothly users can move from one page to another.
I also learned that creating a sitemap helps developers avoid mistakes during the website creation process. By planning ahead, it becomes easier to identify missing pages, unnecessary links, or confusing structures. This saves time and effort because problems can be fixed before the website is fully built.
Overall, my learning in this quarter helped me appreciate the importance of planning and structure in ICT. Sitemaps showed me that every successful website starts with a strong foundation. This knowledge will be useful for me in the future, especially if I create my own websites or work in the field of technology.
